From Hobby to Hustle: The Birth of My Shop

From Hobby to Hustle: The Birth of My Shop

Since childhood, I've been a bit of a business whiz. Picture tiny me, crafting jewelry and peddling it to friends, and friends of friends. This entrepreneurial spirit has been my constant companion.

Fast forward to about five years ago, when I unleashed a new collection of T-shirts, cups, and magnets upon the world. Well, when I say “world,” I mean anyone who’d listen. The collection was, shall we say, a bit of a flop. Couldn't even sell them to my friends! Ended up trading them for beers at the local pub. Ah, the glamorous life of a budding entrepreneur.

But did that dent my passion? Absolutely not! A few years later, I designed some blue dance T-shirts. This time, I cleverly set up a presale, ensuring I didn't invest a penny up front. Brilliant, right? Well, those T-shirts are still sitting in my wardrobe, silently judging me.

Three years ago, life threw me a delightful curveball. I met my wonderful Chinese husband, and two years ago, our gorgeous daughter was born. Becoming a mother was like rocket fuel for my business dreams. Plus, with our nomadic lifestyle, hopping between China and Europe, a flexible income became a necessity.

Confession time: my marketing skills are, frankly, abysmal. Enter the genius idea of opening my own print-on-demand shop. No more overflowing wardrobes or storage nightmares. This way, I'm also doing my bit for the planet by preventing unsold items from turning into waste. If no one buys them, they aren’t even made. Genius, right?

So here I am, armed with a passion for creativity, a print-on-demand shop, and a dream. It’s a journey of trial, error, and a fair share of laughs. But hey, if my T-shirts can survive the wardrobe, surely they can conquer the world!

As I embark on this new adventure, I hope to share my journey with you, the triumphs and the mishaps, the creative bursts and the learning curves. Stay tuned for more tales from the frontline of my entrepreneurial escapades. Who knows? Maybe one day, you'll be sipping your morning coffee from one of my mugs or dancing around in one of my T-shirts, and we’ll both be part of this wonderfully chaotic, yet incredibly rewarding journey.
